Tulips, Simple and Wild

Tulips are such wonderful flowers.  Sophisticated and stylish, dramatic lines, bold colors, a multitude of fascinating shapes and unruly growth patterns.  When you enjoy a beautiful arrangement of tulips you are enjoying flowers that were the favorite of Indian Shahs and Turkish Sultans, the very same flowers that swept the Dutch into tulip mania in 1633.  You can be forgiven if tulips make you a bit crazy.

Cut tulips continue to grow about the length of their blossom each day.  Additionally, tulips are both phototropic and geotropic. This makes them a difficult flower to design with.  Indeed many floral designers consider tulips to be the ultimate design challenge.  The secret is to create designs that  are simple, yet embrace the wild characteristics of tulips.

In this demonstration I have created an easy to assemble arrangement that can be simple or wild, depending on your mood and desires.  Have Fun!!!!!   Next>
