"An old frame that a fuchsia tree grew on inspired my design. I was about to throw the frame into the garbage when it came to me to use it for an art piece. I sprayed it gold and added a baroque pot that had lost its pedestal, planted ivy in the base and thought about what else I could do to it."

Marlis Tjaden has owned and operated Trinette's Floral since 1972. Marlis is a graduate of Floral Design Institute and has won numerous awards at State Fairs and at the Rose Festival Rose Shows.

This was the second time that Marlis's work has been accepted for the Floral Design as Art Exhibition.
