We knew that we were in trouble when we saw the mother and daughter team of Joyce and Jocelyn Lindsay backing a 14 foot rental truck up to the freight door of the Creative Center.  And then they unloaded their beautiful Dream Tree.

Their inspiration; "Once upon a time, a little boy went on an adventure to find out where dreams come from.  After a long and dangerous journey the boy found a massive tree spanning darkness and light holding the world together.

Beneath the earth, the tree’s roots ran riot in the darkness.  Hiding in roots, the boy saw a hungry dragon lulled to sleep by a beautiful night garden.  While asleep, the dragon dreamt of escaping so that it could eat the world and everything in it.  The boy knew then that the dragon was the origin of all nightmares.

Above the boy, the tree’s limbs spread up into the light and out over the whole world.   Hanging in the flowered branches he saw glowing orbs.  Each of these orbs was filled with a new dream.

Climbing through the flowers to the top of the tee, the boy was met by Raven who sat waiting until the dreams were ripe before plucking them and carrying them out into the world."

Two years ago Jocelyn Lindsay and her mother decided to create something together, so they went to flower school.  Soon after graduating from the Floral Design Institute, they opened their own professional design studio, Lindsay’s Flowers.  Each day something new comes along in their business that forces them to expand their abilities, ideas, and creativity.  They love their business, their flowers, and most importantly, they love each other.
