At Floral Design Institute we absolutely love the holidays.  Each year we try to outdo ourselves in creating a more exciting holiday class schedule than the year before.   More classes, different classes, unique subjects, imaginative themes, expansive curricula, more holiday spirit, cookies and lots of fun.

This year is proving to be no different.  Once again, we are all running around in August like half crazed Christmas elves.  A frenzy fueled by sugar and espresso, God's gift to floral designers.  Ribbons galore, gold paint by the bucket, Christmas balls, pine cones, faux snow and glitter everywhere.

 David just tries to stay out of the way and is frequently seen muttering to himself, "I'm surrounded by a bunch of damned artists"!  As if this is a problem?

The basement storerooms are stuffed full of treasures that we have been gathering since last January.  A full year of treasures!  Cones, pods, lichens, fungi, mosses and seeds gathered throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Luscious ribbons in decadent colors.  Candles, beads, colored wire and birds nests.  Beautiful vases, baskets, designer dishes, colored foam and feathers.  More is definitely better.

Yes, we really do love the holidays and you are going to love the wonderful classes that we have planned for you.  Join us.  Create beautiful arrangements for yourself and for friends.  Make a party of it and bring along a friend.  What better way to enjoy the holidays?
