As wonderful as
the onstage programs were, I found the backstage to be even better. It was a total joy to
work with the volunteers in the symposium design room.
I missed most of the programs and worked like a fool. I did however get to work with some of the finest
floral designers in the world and see their designs take form. I wouldn’t have missed the experience for
anything. For me, the highlight of the symposium was in getting to meet so many Floral Design Institute graduates. I am aware that my “little flower school” has grown beyond my wildest dreams. Nevertheless, I am always caught off guard by the number of graduates from all over the world who make a point of seeking me out to tell me of their successes in their floral careers and what it really means to them to "Do Something You Love"! |
