image004.11.00.17.002 Color-Leanne.gif (68860 bytes) 2006 is promising to be a colorful year.  According to the color designers at the Color Marketing Group, the colors for this coming year will be warmer, clearer and brighter. Reddened oranges will replace the current coppery hues and yellows will gain importance.  With the addition of yellow, blues will trend toward the green palate and greens will surge forward in popularity.  These color trends reflect the lifestyle realities of the coming year.

As a society, we are embracing individualism and simultaneously reaching out for relationships to nurture our soul.  And, it goes without saying, the world is moving forward at a record pace.  How often do you think, "Stop the world so I can catch up!"?

The color palettes of 2006 represent the need for personal time and tranquility as well as the desire to experience a close relationship with individuals sharing the same goals and aspirations.

Just how does this translate into the flower world?  At FDI, we see four main palettes for the coming year.  Of course, there will continue to be the quick color fads and surprises but a focus on these main trends will not lead you astray.
