Tired of the same old
red and green? Looking for something to get you out of the rut of same-old, same-old? Yes,
we all fall into the Christmas trappings of past. Sometimes, you just a need a little
nudge to try something different in your decorating style. Christmas Design
Nouveauscheduled for December 5 is the class for you. We will create a
festive contemporary holiday design set in a shiny wire armature in a sage green glass
cube. Shiny glass balls and bright wire finish this beautiful design.
If you love the
romantic traditions of Christmas past, you will love our class Christmas
Traditions scheduled for December 6. Weve gathered the
favorites and put them together in one arrangement perfect for the traditionalist.
Well pull out the old Christmas music, prepare the cider, and have everything ready.
Your assignment is to find the perfect Christmas sweater to wear to class. Extra credit if
you have red shoes to match!

In Season
Pinecones
and Christmas. They go together like peanut butter and jelly, strawberries and whipped
cream, bacon and eggs, oysters and champagne. Mmmmm .. What more can I say?
Pinecones and Christmas are the perfect match. Now, I'm not saying that Mother Nature
doesn't do a spectacular job with her pinecones, but check out the following pages to see
how to add some holiday color, sparkle and snow to them. Enjoy!
Looking Ahead
Mistletoe is fine, but if you want something really
spectacular, plan to join us on December 11 and learn to make a Christmas Rose
Kissing Ball. Yes, everyone loves the kissing ball. Luxuriously covered with
roses, it can hang in the doorway, over the dining table or from the chandelier. Your
instructor will guide you in the mechanics of creating a rose-covered orb. Well also
review the math (eek!) of determining how many roses are needed to cover your ball.
Looking for the
perfect hostess gift for an upcoming holiday party or dinner? Join us on December 12
and learn how to make a holiday-themed Dutch Spiral
Hand-Tied Bouquet. Beautiful and luxurious, there are a few tricks to
making this perfect, domed bouquet. With the expert guidance of your instructor,
youll be a pro in no time or at least within two hours. Once you master the
spiral, well share a festive technique for embellishing the bouquet with a collar of
scalloped tissue and cellophane.
If you love romantic
candlelight you will love our class, Pillar Candle
Centerpiece scheduled for December 13. The drama of a pillar candle
enhances this contemporary round centerpiece. Your instructor will guide you in the
mechanics for securing a pillar candle into your arrangement. We will also review what to
look for when selecting candles, and how to handle your candles to get maximum burning
time and enjoyment.
